County manager to present budget June 3

The Surry County Board of Commissioners will hear a presentation Monday evening from County Manager Chris Knopf regarding the county budget for the coming fiscal year which begins July 1.

Commissioners’ meetings are open to the public and occur at the Historic Courthouse in Dobson starting at 6 p.m.

According to the county manager’s office, a copy of the report has been released to the Board of Commissioners. Interested residents can view a copy of the budget proposal at the Historic Courthouse.

A final vote on the budget will take place at the following board of commissioners meeting on June 17.

For those who cannot attend the meeting on Monday, June 3, a live stream of the meeting will be available in real time on the county’s YouTube page. All recent public meetings of the board of commissioners are available for review at www.youtube.com/@surrycountynccommissioners.
