Water line break interrupts Dobson water service

The Town of Dobson released a statement Wednesday morning alerting residents that a water line break would cause an interruption to water service.

Their alert said service would be interrupted around 1 p.m. and a follow up announcement from the town around 3 p.m. said, "The leak has been fixed and water service has been restored."

The town said water service was interrupted so that Public Works crews could repair a water break at West Kapp Street.

They added that Public Works crews worked diligently to restore service as soon as possible.

They added that water service will remain off until such time as the repair work has been completed.

Dobson officials said the service interrupting should have been localized to the following streets:

- West Kapp Street between Plantation Road and West Woltz Street

- Gillespie Street

- Lakeview Drive

- Hickory Street

- Hill Street

- Poole Circle
