Juvenile shot on Shawnee Drive in Burlington, police say
BURLINGTON, N.C. — The Burlington Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night on the 700 block of Shawnee Drive. Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 8:18 p.m. Monday night, according to a press release. When they arrived on scene, they found one person — a juvenile — suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Danville man arrested after shooting
The Danville Police Department has made an arrest following a shooting incident that occurred around 5:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15. Marvin James Saunders, Jr., 25, has been charged with attempted malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in a public place, reckless handling of a firearm, and brandishing a firearm after firing a shot in the 200 block of N. Main Street toward a 39-year-old male, who he was having an altercation with. No one was injured as a result of the shooting. One vehicle was struck by the shot.
