The West Indian American Day Parade, now in its 57th year, is a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and heritage that has become a staple in NYC. This annual event was brought to life by Caribbean immigrants who sought to recreate the joyous and expressive festivities from their homelands in their new community. The Brooklyn parade, which takes place on Eastern Parkway in the Crown Heights neighborhood, is one of the largest cultural events in North America, drawing millions of spectators and participants each year.

From the rhythmic sounds of steelpan bands to the dazzling costumes and energetic dances, every aspect of the carnival reflects the spirit of freedom, creativity, and community, which are at the heart of the celebration.
