DODGE COUNTY, Neb. — The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said the search for a missing 17-year-old boy in the Platte River is a recovery effort now. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to an emergency call on the Platte River Sunday night. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said the teenager went missing after wading into the river south of Fremont, near Hormel Park.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a teenager who went missing after wading into the Platte River south of Fremont. The DCSO received a call at about 9 Sunday night that a 17-year-old had gone missing. The boy was last seen in the area west of the U.S. Highway 77 bridge.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and fire departments are searching for a 17-year-old male last seen Sunday night wading in the Platte River south of Fremont. The Dodge County Sheriff's Office said it received a call at 9 p.m. Sunday about the teen who was last seen just west of the U.S. 77 bridge. The search for the teen was called off at 11:45 p.m. but resumed Monday morning.
