7-16-24 hartford man arrested following high speed motorcycle chase
A Hartford man is in custody following a high speed chase that ended on a golf course. The chase started shortly after 3pm Saturday when a Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a speeding motorcycle on County Highway O in the town of Ashippun. Following a short chase the operator abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot through the Erin Hills Gold Course where he was apprehended. Forty four year old Mark Lepak faces charges of felony fleeing and eluding an officer and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated 8th offense.
Traffic Pursuit with Arrest
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a speeding motorcycle on County Road O, in the township of Ashippun on Saturday, July 13 around 3:10 p.m. A short pursuit ensued which resulted in the driver, who was identified as 44-year-old Mark J. Lepak of rural Hartford, abandoning the motorcycle and fleeing on foot through Erin Hills Golf Course.

Former Waupun Correctional Institution worker enters not guilty plea
WISCONSIN — One of nine former Waupun Correction Institution (WCI) workers who were charged in the death of an inmate has pled not guilty. Gwendolyn Vick appeared in Dodge County court Thursday for a preliminary hearing and arraignment. She was bound over to trial and entered a plea of not guilty, according to court documents.

Planning AHEAD is a new class from University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, created to address most aspects of end-of-life planning. In 90-minute in-person classes, Extension and Aging and Disability Resource Center of Dodge County educators guide participants through examining health care wishes, financial responsibilities, legal requirements and documentation, distribution of personal property, end-of-life decisions, dealing with grief, and the emotional ramifications of all the above.
Mayville man dead from self inflicted gunshot after police make contact
Law enforcement in Dodge County had an incident unfold in Mayville Friday afternoon, July 12, 2024. Officers were on their way to do a welfare check in the 400 block of Henninger Street.
