The sheriff's office had received a report around 2 p.m. June 27 of a car in the ditch south of State 49 in the township of Chester. First responders found Hammer, who was the driver and lone occupant, dead at the scene.

Husband of missing Dodge County woman in custody as investigation continues
The estranged husband of a missing person was arrested Friday and facing felony charges, as a search continues for the rural Dodge County woman. Crystal Rasch, 37, was last seen June 11 and was reported missing June 23. On Thursday, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department released information on the investigation to the public and asked people to stay away from the search area in Clyman, Wis.
6-29-24 estranged husband of missing clyman woman arrested
The estranged husband of a missing Dodge County woman has been arrested. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says 42 year old Zacariah Rasch of rural Clyman was arrested after detectives learned he had made numerous transactions on Crystal Rasch’s financial accounts without consent. He made his initial Dodge County Circuit court appearance Friday on a charge of unauthorized use of an individual’s personal identifying information. Bail was set at $250,000 cash. Meanwhile Schmidt says the sheriff’s office has dedicated every available resource to locating Crystal Rasch. Schmidt says while it remains a missing person investigation, given the information that has been discovered his office is treating this as a case in which a serious felony has likely been committed.

The 37-year-old Crystal Rasch of Clyman has reportedly been missing since June 11, but investigators found that numerous transactions were made under her financial accounts since she went missing.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified the 91-year-old Waupun man found deceased in his car Thursday afternoon. The Sheriff’s Office got a call shortly after 2 pm reporting a car in the ditch off US Highway 151, south of State Highway 49, in the town of Chester. Arnold Hammer was found dead in the vehicle. The investigation into his death continues. Assisting at the scene was the Waupun Police Department, Waupun Fire Department, Lifestar EMS, the Dodge County Medical Examiner, and a Sheriff’s Chaplain.
