The Winona Chiefs last home game of the season and first playoff contest was a rollercoaster ride that ultimately ended in disappointment for the Chiefs, who fell 8-7 to the Pine Island Pioneers. City of Rochester sends out survey to improve city
ROCHESTER, Minn. - The City of Rochester is looking to see how to make it a better town and that's why they're having a National Community Survey where residents can respond. This week they sent out postcards to 4,200 households in Rochester. They'll have 10 categories of questions and some questions include: Safety, Natural Environment and Mobility. UWL library is broadening its digital archives
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The library at UW La Crosse is looking to broaden its archives through the Driftless River Initiative. The initiative aims at expanding collections related to the Driftless Area and the Upper Mississippi River. Being located so close to the western coast of the state means La Crosse attracts more artifacts relating to the history of the area.
Man accused of scamming Minnesota woman out of +$100,000 gold bars, cash
WARREN, MINN. (Valley News Live) - A man in Pennsylvania has been arrested, accused of scamming a Minnesota woman out of more than $100,000 in gold bars and cash. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says they first received information from an officer in McKinney, Texas about Mutahir Ahmed Kahm.
