Despite some key injuries to the starting rotation, the Los Angeles Dodgers came through with another big week as the regular season entered its final month. The Dodgers won four of six games last week, as they took on the Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, and Cleveland Guardians.

Here are Dodgers Nation’s top 10 plays of the week:

    10. Shohei Ohtani Triples In Angel Stadium Return

Ohtani returned to Angel Stadium for the first time in the regular season since he departed for the Dodgers in free agency last December. In his first game back at the place where he became a two-time American League MVP, Ohtani recorded a triple. He finished the game with two runs, one hit, one walk, and one RBI.

    9. Max Muncy Starts Stellar Double Play

Against the Cleveland Guardians, Max Muncy made a jumping catch before throwing the baseball to Freddie Freeman to earn a double play.

    8. Landon Knack’s Career High of 8 K’s

Amid a slew of injuries to the Dodgers’ starting rotation, Landon Knack stepped up. In his return to the Dodgers, Knack allowed three hits and two earned runs while striking out eight. The Dodgers were unable to get the win, but Knack came through for the team on Friday.

    7. Shohei Ohtani Swipes 3 Bases Against D-Backs

During last Monday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Ohtani stole three bases during the 11-6 win over their National League West rivals. The performance brought Ohtani’s stolen base count to 46 on the season, as he shoots for the first 50/50 season in MLB history.

    6. Freddie Freeman’s Multi-HR Game

Also against the Diamondbacks last Monday, Freeman hit two home runs in the win. Freeman highlighted a lineup that went off that day, recording two home runs, two runs, and five RBIs as he hit homers in the 3rd and 8th innings.

    5. Pitcher of the Week: Jack Flaherty

Flaherty started two games for the Dodgers, and came through for the team despite the scorching heat wave. Over 13 innings pitched, Flaherty allowed nine hits, one earned run, and three walks while striking out 13. The Dodgers earned wins in both of Flaherty’s starts, against the Diamondbacks and Guardians.

    4. Teoscar Hernández 5-Hit Game

Last Monday against the Diamondbacks proved to be a prolific game for more than just Ohtani and Flaherty. Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández recorded five hits on five at-bats while earning two runs. This was one of Hernández’s best performances since joining the Dodgers last winter.

    3. Dodgers’ 6-Run 1st Inning

Talk about a hot start! During Saturday’s win over the Guardians, the Dodgers recorded six of their seven runs of the day in the first inning. Mookie Betts , Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Tommy Edman, Miguel Rojas , and Andy Pages all recorded runs during the game, as the Dodgers’ first inning set them up for victory.

    2. Shohei Ohtani Records MLB’s First Ever 46/46 Season

Since becoming the fastest player in MLB history to record 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a single season, Ohtani continues to extend his streak. After hitting two home runs and stealing three bases last week, Ohtani now has 46 home runs and 46 stolen bases on the season. He is now four home runs and four stolen bases away from the first 50/50 season in MLB history.

    1. Mookie Betts’ Clutch 3-Run Home Run

Leading 3-2 in the top of the 10th inning, the Angels opted to intentionally walk Shohei Ohtani and instead pitch to Mookie Betts. Angels manager Ron Washington insisted this was no slight to Betts, but Betts made the Angels pay anyway by hitting a three-run home run to give the Dodgers the clear lead and eventual win.
