The Los Angeles Dodgers needed a spark in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets.

    Instead, they got a snake.

After the top of the fifth inning, a snake appeared in the Dodgers dugout. The snake was quickly picked up and taken away. Here’s a video from the Fox broadcast:

After the snake situation, Max Muncy hit a solo home run to right field to make it a 6-1 ball game.

Maybe the snake was the spark the Dodgers needed all along.

Thus far, Game 2 of the NLCS has been all Mets. The Mets took a 1-0 lead in the very first at-bat as Francisco Lindor took Ryan Brasier deep to end the Dodgers’ scoreless inning streak .

Then, Landon Knack allowed five runs in the second inning, including a grand slam to Mark Vientos that put New York up 6-0.

Both teams were silent until the bottom of the fifth inning, when Muncy took Sean Manaea yard after that snake appeared in Los Angeles’ dugout. Maybe that’s the rally snake the Dodgers needed in this one.
