I am at a loss and really need suggestions. I lost my job in may and have been having some really gnarly health issues (and without insurance…) so I’m needing to rehome my sweet girl. She’s just shy of a year old, but I cannot afford to feed her. I also am barely able to get out of bed anymore and feel horrible about having her either in a crate or in the back yard all day. I have never had to rehome a dog and don’t even know where to start. I feel like a failure but I would feel worse if something happened to her or if she suffered because of me. I can’t bring myself to have her taken to a shelter, but I also can’t find a lot of legit resources for how to go about rehoming her. Does anyone have any suggestions?
