Man arrested after short pursuit in Mexia by police
MEXIA, Texas — A wanted man was arrested in Mexia Wednesday afternoon after a tip came in regarding his whereabouts. According to the Mexia Police Department, officers made their way to a Cefco located on Milam Street around 4 p.m. to bring Michael Sinclair Dunn into custody. After being approached by the Mexia PD officers, he took off in a car, but came to a stop a few blocks away from where he took off, in the 1200 block of East Palestine Street.

After getting Texas A&M ace pitcher Emiley Kenndey some help head softball coach Trisha Ford was able to pull former Washington Huskies catcher, Oliva “Ojo” Johnson, out of the transfer portal. The senior will give Coach Ford some senior leadership behind the plate and more options in the batter’s box. Ford explains why she was excited to land Johnson for the 2025 softball season. “Ojo is a great addition to our program, and we are happy to have her return to the Lone Star state.
