AMITE, La. (WVUE) - An investigation is underway after an inmate died Thursday (July 25) morning at the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, the sheriff’s office says. Christopher Montrell Woodard, 47, reported not feeling well and was sent to the medical wing around 5:45 a.m. where he became unresponsive, authorities say.
