What kind of woman can't you get along with, why a person has no friends, and other wise lessons from Hermann Hesse that can "change the world"

Hermann Hesse is a man who left an indelible mark on 20th century literature. His work is permeated with deep reflections on the meaning of life, self-knowledge, and the desire for spiritual development.

"Steppenwolf", "The Glass Bead Game", "Siddhartha" - his works, which have become classics, explore the inner world of man, his internal conflicts and search for truth. Hesse is not just a writer; he is a philosopher whose ideas inspire readers to self-improvement.

Hesse's greatness as a writer lies not only in his literary mastery, but also in his ability to speak about eternal themes – love, freedom, responsibility and choice. The Nobel Prize in Literature, which Hesse received in 1946, was recognition of his contribution to world culture.

Today we have a selection of the best quotes from Hermann Hesse that can “change the world”:

    1. If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of you. What is not part of us does not bother us.

    2. A house without love is a poor house, even if the floors are covered with beautiful carpets and the walls with expensive wallpaper and paintings.

Home is not just a place where we find refuge from the outside world, it is a sanctuary where the fire of love is kindled and where every corner is filled with warmth and care. Love is the foundation on which a real home is built.

It transforms the space of four walls into a place where every family member feels needed and important. It is a place where joy and sorrow are shared, where support and understanding are integral attributes. Ultimately, a home without love is like a tree without roots. It may seem majestic on the outside, but inside it is empty and fragile.

    3. It is better to be stupid and remain yourself than to be smart and turn into someone else.

    4. Loneliness is the path by which fate tries to lead a person to himself.

Loneliness is a state that many of us try to avoid, but it inevitably affects everyone. Loneliness is not a punishment, but an opportunity. In the silence of one’s “I”, a person can hear what is usually lost in the noise of everyday life.

This is the time when one can look inside oneself, evaluate one’s achievements and mistakes, rethink values and priorities. In these moments, we can discover our true desires and fears that were previously hidden behind the mask of social expectations. Loneliness is a path to oneself, and every step along this path can be a step towards the light.

    5. Never confuse my character with my attitude towards you. My character depends on me, and my attitude depends on your behavior.

    6. Every person considers the suffering that has befallen him to be the greatest.

    7. Some people think that you have to hold on to be stronger, but sometimes you just have to let go.

There comes a time in everyone’s life when it seems like all the power lies in holding on. We cling to the familiar, to old beliefs and relationships, even when they no longer bring us joy or benefit. But sometimes true strength comes not from persistence, but from letting go.

Letting go is an art that requires courage. The courage to admit that some things are beyond our control, that change is inevitable, and that the future can be better if we let go of the weight of the past. It’s not a failure, it’s a step toward victory over ourselves. So yes, sometimes we just have to let go. Let go of what’s holding us back so we can step boldly into the future.

    8. Youth ends with selfishness, old age begins with living for others.

    9. To understand others, you must first understand yourself.

Each of us is a unique world with our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. And to truly understand others, we must first understand ourselves. When we understand ourselves, we become more tolerant of differences. We begin to appreciate the uniqueness of each person, instead of judging or trying to change them. We learn to accept others as they are, because we have learned to accept ourselves.

    10. Happiness in life depends on the quality of our thoughts.

    11. There is no woman in the world without whom one cannot live, and there is no woman with whom one cannot get along.

There are no ideal people, and each of us has our weaknesses and shortcomings. But at the same time, each of us deserves to be heard and understood. For every man, there is a woman who becomes an integral part of his life. This is the woman who inspires us to feats, supports us in difficult times and rejoices in our successes. She can be a muse, a friend, a lover or a comrade. Her presence in life makes it brighter and more intense, and her absence leaves a noticeable mark.

    12. When you love, you accept a person with all his shortcomings.

    13. The absence of friends is a sign that a person has many hobbies and a lot of personal time.

Having no friends does not necessarily mean being lonely. It can be a choice based on a preference for personal space and time for hobbies and self-development. Being friendless can be both a choice and a circumstance. For some, it may be a temporary phase when they focus on personal interests and goals. For others, it may be a long-term life position. Either way, it is important to remember that each person is unique, and what works for one may not work for another.
