While vampires are typically found only in horror films, dark literature, and folklore, in real life we often encounter another kind of energy-sucking presence. These modern-day "vampires" do not fear sunlight or drink blood, but they are effective at draining our energy, crushing our spirit, and undermining our self-confidence.

These toxic individuals can be difficult to spot because they often pose as friends. However, over time, their true intentions become obvious – they are waiting for, and sometimes actively orchestrating, our downfall.

So, there are 2 types of toxic people to avoid:

    1. "Dream Killers"

Dream killers are people who seem determined to destroy your aspirations and goals. They are the ones who, often subtly and sometimes overtly, undermine your aspirations and ambitions.

These people are chronically skeptical and have a persistently negative outlook. For them, the glass is always half empty and they are quick to predict a storm when the sky is clear. Dream killers excel at finding problems even where there are none. Instead of being a source of strength, they become an obstacle, making your journey more lonely and difficult.

When you share your dreams and goals, they react with doubt and disappointment. Their words can sow the seeds of insecurity, making you doubt your abilities and the feasibility of your aspirations.

These people can have a profound impact on your life, instilling self-doubt and undermining your self-esteem. Their constant negativity makes you doubt your abilities and see the worst in situations and people. Over time, you may lose faith in yourself and give up on your dreams, losing the motivation to pursue them.

    2. "The Chaos Creators"

Chaos creators are those who thrive on disorder and confusion. They don’t just create chaos in their own lives – they pull everyone around them into their vortex of problems. They have a knack for turning small problems into major crises, often pulling you into their vortex. Their presence can be emotionally draining, leaving you drained and distracted from your own priorities and peace of mind.

These people enjoy drama and are experts at creating chaos. Once they create problems and scandals, they stand back and watch the chaos unfold, making no effort to correct the situation.

These "parasites" often hide their true nature behind a facade of charisma and charm, which allows them to get away with their toxic behavior time and time again. Their magnetic personalities can make it difficult to break away from a relationship, but it is important to do so to avoid their ongoing drama.

The path to a better life

If you want to protect your dreams and maintain your peace of mind, it is important to distance yourself from dream killers and chaos creators. Your dreams and your peace of mind deserve a nurturing environment. Surround yourself with people who inspire, support, and uplift you. Look for those who believe in your potential and make a positive contribution to your life, look for those who inspire confidence and make a constructive contribution to your life.

Are there such people in your circle? What kind of people do you think you should stop communicating with?
