One of the greatest geniuses of our time opened our eyes 17 years ago, shortly before his death. Today we remember his words, which still haunt us.

Many people struggle with the pursuit of a fulfilling life. If you are at a point in your life where you feel stuck and aimless, it may be time to consider whether you are living the life you want.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living other people's lives."

Steve Jobs spoke these words to students in 2005. Shortly before this speech, he was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer and was given six months to live.

Facing his own mortality impressed upon him the importance of living the best life possible and sharing his knowledge and experience. So he delivered this message, which was addressed not only to the future graduates, but to the rest of the world.

According to Steve Jobs, at any given time, no matter how old you are, it is important to ask yourself three key questions and answer them honestly.

    1. Am I living the life I want and doing what I love?

Many people find themselves trapped in routine and everyday problems that lead them away from their true aspirations and desires. Chasing social expectations and pressures can lead us astray.

As his death approached, something powerful happened inside Steve Jobs. He began to live each day as if it were his last. The thought of the little time we have left on Earth is not depressing. On the contrary, it motivates us to use it as meaningfully as possible.

Steve Jobs said that facing his own death was "the most important tool I've ever found to help me make the big decisions in life." "Our fears, our failures, and our pride disappear in the face of death, leaving only what's truly important."

It takes courage to make a choice that may go against societal norms, whether it's a career change, a lifestyle change, or pursuing a long-forgotten hobby, answering this question requires strength.

    2. If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?

This is a question Jobs said he asked himself every day after he was diagnosed with a terminal illness.

He said: "Whenever the answer was 'no' for too many days in a row, I knew I needed to change something."

Be prepared to meet yourself and ask yourself the same question as you begin your day. This question forces us to face the present moment and appreciate the significance of what we do.

If you are true to yourself, it can be scary to admit that you are not living the life you want, but it is the only way to find something new, something that may be your true calling. Life is unpredictable, and acknowledging the reality of our mortality can be a powerful motivator to live a meaningful life.

    3. Am I doing what I enjoy?

As Steve Jobs explained, living someone else's life is wasting your own. Instead, he encourages you to find the role you are meant to fulfill in life.

You have to find what you love. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. The only way to do good work is to love what you do.

A study published by researchers found that to be fully engaged and happy, people need to feel like their work matters and that their contributions help achieve something important.

Spend time thinking about what you are truly passionate about and what makes you happy. Ask yourself what you enjoy doing in your free time, what excites you, what motivates you, and what makes you feel happy.

Experiment with new things : Sometimes it's hard to know what you like to do until you try it. Seek out new experiences and opportunities to discover new hobbies.

Talk to others: Talk to friends, family, or coworkers about what you enjoy doing and what makes you happy. Sometimes other people can give you a different perspective or even introduce you to new opportunities.

Finding your passion is not a quick or easy process, but it is worth it.

Remember, we have one life, and it is given to us so that we can become a happy person!

As Steve Jobs so aptly put it: "Don't let the noise of other people's opinions drown out your inner voice. Have the courage to follow your heart and your intuition. They already know who you really want to become. Everything else is secondary."
