Doral, FL - A South Florida family reunion ended in arrests on Saturday after a fight broke out over pieces of paper.

The incident began around 11:30 p.m. last Friday as family members gathered at a residence to watch a soccer game.

According to police, attendees playfully celebrated a goal by throwing pieces of paper at each other.

However, things took a turn when one of the paper scraps accidentally struck a guest.

Following a brief conversation, the homeowner, identified as 36-year-old Kerlins Lisbeycell Sarai Perez, and the guest, identified as 28-year-old Marilyn Paola Vallenilla Rondon, became involved in a physical altercation.

The details of the confrontation remain disputed, with each woman providing differing accounts.

Family members intervened to separate the pair, but the situation reportedly escalated further as Vallenilla Rondon was followed outside by Sarai Perez's sister, 34-year-old Naskary Kattybel Ihones Perez.

Ihones Perez is accused of approaching Vallenilla Rondon aggressively and striking her in the face, causing a nasal fracture and significant bleeding.

Vallenilla Rondon received medical attention at a local emergency room.

The severity of her injuries resulted in a felony aggravated battery charge against Ihones Perez.

Sarai Perez and Vallenilla Rondon were both arrested on misdemeanor battery charges.
