Casey Todd, a descendant of Hollands Island, will be sharing his memories and stories that have been handed down over the years by his father Ira T. Todd, Jr. and other family members. At 7 p.m. on Aug. 7, Todd will share about the roots of the people and how they lived on the island, made their livelihood, their marriages and religious practices. He will also discuss how the environmental changes affected them. The presentation will take place at Robbins Heritage Center, Dorchester County Historical Society, 1003 Greenway Drive, Cambridge, Maryland Avenue Extended.

A lifelong resident of Crisfield, he is a graduate of Crisfield High School, College of William and Mary 1976 and Baltimore School of Law 1978. He was manager and owner of Metompkin Bay Oyster Co, Inc. from 1971 until he retired in 2001.

He married Kimberly Parsons in 1980 and they have four children and four grandchildren. His father Ira was born in 1917 and was one of the last children born on Hollands Island.

The South Dorchester Folk Museum, in cooperation with the Dorchester County Historical Society, presents this free program in its lecture series about local history. For more information about the Museum, visit www.sdfmuseum.net or call 410-228-6175.
