Juvenile injured in grease fire in Dorchester Co.
HURLOCK, Md. – A grease fire in Hurlock sent a juvenile to the hospital Thursday afternoon. Firefighters responded to a home at 503 South Main Street just after 4:30 p.m.Crews were able to quickly control the stovetop fire, however, a juvenile suffered third degree burns to approximately 10% of his body as a result. He was flown by Maryland State Police Aviation to the Bayview Burn Center in Baltimore for treatment.

Summerville Man Dies in Fireworks Accident on Fourth of July
A Summerville man tragically lost his life in a fireworks-related incident during a Fourth of July celebration. Allen Ray McGrew, 41, succumbed to injuries sustained when a large firework device he placed on his head exploded. Dorchester County Sheriff's Office deputies and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene in the Crestwood subdivision around 10:23 p.m., where they discovered McGrew with severe head trauma.
