A local resident saw the incident on Lake Miltona and reported the unoccupied boat was still running in a circle. Sheriff's deputies say witnesses in another boat rescued the man, and they monitored his boat until it ran out of gas. The 66-year-old man from Clarissa told the D-N-R he lost control of the boat motor handle while reaching for something and was thrown into the water. He was wearing a life jacket.

Crash injures one person Sunday near Carlos
(Carlos, MN)--Yesterday,(Sunday) the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a report of a two vehicle crash near Carlos. Officials say one vehicle had T-Boned the other. A vehicle driven by a juvenile male was traveling eastbound on County Road 5, while a vehicle driven by Carson Looker, 19, Miltona, was traveling southbound when the two collided at the intersection.
Watertown motorist injured in Douglas County crash on Thursday
Authorities are investigating a one vehicle crash in Douglas County that sent a Watertown motorist to the hospital according to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP). 23-year-old William Richard Malz was westbound on I-94 in Orange Township in his Ford Fusion. Malz was entering the Highway 29 exit ramp when he lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch.
