Inmate at Rutledge State Prison dies after being assaulted by cellmate, coroner says
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - An inmate at the Rutledge State Prison was found dead in his cell after allegedly being assaulted by his cellmate. According to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan, they were called to the prison and upon arrival, they found 58-year-old Leon Habson lying in a cell - he was pronounced dead at 12:39 p.m. on the scene.

Vehicle drives into 13th Street BBQ in Cataula early Sunday morning
Harris County officials are investigating after a vehcile drove into a restaurant. The crash occurred at 13th Street Bar B Que on Hamilton Road. The front doors and wall of the business was damaged in the crash. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.

Fundraiser to be held to support 9/11 Memorial 5K Run in Valdosta
VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - A fundraiser is being held for the 9/11 VFD Memorial 5K Run in Valdosta. According to a Facebook post by the Valdosta Fire Department, from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 22, Texas Roadhouse will donate 10% of all total food purchases to Valor Service Dogs. Dine-in and to-go orders are included in the fundraiser.
