Meet Briston’s Founder, Brice Jaunet

Brice Jaunet created his brand of watches after 15 years in the watchmaking industry. Brice worked in the world’s largest watchmaking groups, starting with Richemont at Cartier. He then worked for Baume & Mercier and continued his international career at Raymond Weil. He eventually joined LVMH Group as Export Director for the Zenith brand, then Vice-President International Marketing. He then assumed the management of the Zenith In France.

Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit since early childhood and the legacy of his grandfather Jacques, co-founder of the NewMan brand in 1967, Brice has always nursed the ambition of bringing his creativity to life.

So, in 2012, he set out with several Swiss designer friends to create a watch brand that reflected his personality, thoughts, and research. Brice Jaunet wanted to create a beautiful and authentic yet affordable timepiece.

His student days in Oxford, his passion for sport, and his taste for travel give the Briston brand its sporty, chic, and slightly quirky spirit.

Featuring a 43mm case with an uncommon design in the Streamliner tradition, this new model is equipped with the Swiss Sellita SW500a caliber. This ultra-reliable movement tells time and features a chronograph function, day, date, and small seconds at nine o’clock. This prestigious caliber runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour (4Hz.) with a power reserve of approximately two and a half days.

The distinctive features of the Streamliner Urban 10th Anniversary are found in each of these details, making it a unique model and Swiss-made for the first time. The two dials that make up this exclusive series are not only highly legible thanks to their graphic design but also sporty, with an inner ring featuring a tachymeter scale.

Square-shaped with rounded corners, the three distinctively colored counters have been carefully chamfered to arrive at a central sunray section. Each of these dials is embossed with the waffle motif that is the hallmark of the Streamliner Urban line.

Purity of line and craftsmanship define this new Streamliner. Featuring a sapphire crystal, the bezel’s tonneau-camber shape keeps its four screws visible. At the same time, the case body is designed in tortoiseshell acetate with polished-satin finishes on the rest of the case.

The new case is distinguished by its transparent back, which reveals the automatic movement featuring a rotor specially engraved with the Briston blazon and mentions “10TH ANNIVERSARY”.
