Rust-Oleum Wins EPA Award, Product Helps Beekeepers

Rust-Oleum, a leader in manufacturing innovative coatings, announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named it a Safer Choice Partner of the Year.

Propolis, a resinous substance bees gather from trees and plants, is essential for maintaining their hives but a headache for beekeepers. This sticky material adheres to tools, clothing and surfaces, making cleaning challenging and increasing the risk of spreading pathogens between hives.

This community of beekeepers, from hobbyists to professionals, found that Krud Kutter effectively removes propolis, sticky resin bees collect from trees and plants. Propolis is essential for hive maintenance but can be challenging to clean from tools, clothing, and surfaces.
