Water Main Repairs begin today in Lander
The City of Lander Water Department and Patrick Construction, Inc., are starting a water main replacement project on the 100 block of South 6th Street today due to the damage caused by freezing last winter. Powell hosts the 2024 Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class ‘A’ State Tournament from July 27-31. It is an eight-team, modified, double-elimination bracket. The Powell Pioneers are the defending Class A State Champions. It was their first championship since 2010. Six of the eight teams were in last year’s field. CASPER, Wyo. — A recent Kelly Walsh High School graduate took first place in a prestigious music scholarship competition in Jackson over the weekend. Evan DePaolo, who just graduated from KWHS this May, took home the $25,000 first-place scholarship on Sunday, playing multiple percussion pieces in the Grand Teton Music Festival’s Seventh Annual Scholarship Competition held in honor of the festival’s music director, Donald Runnicles.
