Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program application date extended
In January Governor Josh Shapiro announced the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program, or PTRR for short. With the program, hundreds of thousands of older and disabled Pennsylvanians will now be eligible for a rebate up to $1,000. This brings the maximum standard rebate up from its previous level of $650. A Franklin County man faces up to 30 years in prison for making online threats against a state senator, his county commissioner and a member of the National Guard. Court documents say Richard J. Little II posted threatening messages on his Facebook page in which he described graphic acts of violence, repeatedly referencing an eviction notice he had received on June 10.

COLEBROOKDALE TWP., Pa. - Authorities say a 24-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a motorcycle crash in Colebrookdale Twp. Police say Joseph Turi of Upper Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County was pronounced dead at Reading Hospital following an accident involving a motorcycle and tractor trailer on Rt. 73 (W. Philadelphia Ave.) at South Funk Road.
