DOVER – Wentworth-Douglass Hospital recently announced the addition of a courtesy shuttle, which is available to transport patients and visitors to/from the parking garage, the main entrance, and the Mass General Cancer Center on its Dover campus.

"We’re very excited about this new courtesy shuttle. We strive to support our patients every step of the way - and that includes those who might need a hand getting into the hospital," said Darin Roark, president and chief operating officer. "This initiative underscores our commitment to enhancing patient experience and ensuring convenient access to our facilities."

The shuttle is well equipped with snow tires and side enclosures to operate in any weather. The courtesy shuttle is available to patients and visitors aged seven and up and can comfortably accommodate five passengers and walking aids such as a cane or walker.

When available, patients and visitors will see the Courtesy Shuttle circling the second level of the parking garage, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To request a return trip, patients can notify the Guest Relations team at the main hospital entrance or the Mass General Cancer Center patient access team.

The shuttle was made possible through community donations to the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Charitable Foundation in partnership with Cochecho Country Club and Five Star Golf Carts.
