    It's hard to believe we are already in August and smack dab in the middle of summer. The Seacoast entertainment scene is still hot, hot, hot like the weather. This weekend head over to Prescott Park for music and theater, bring the kids and their favorite stuffed friend to the Children's Museum of New Hampshire in Dover for a Teddy Bear Clinic, rock out with Matty and The Penders, a 90s alternative cover band (and a local favorite of mine), at the Cochecho Arts Festival, or bring Your Lawn Chairs to Sullivan Square in Berwick, Maine, for a summer festival.

    Joy Oladokun at Prescott Park

    12 Angry Jurors

    What: Reginald Rose’s award-winning courtroom drama "12 Angry Jurors" features a room full of clashing personalities debating the case of a young, teenage boy accused of murdering his father.

    When: Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 4 at 4 p.m.

    Teddy Bear Clinic at the Children’s Museum

    What: Kids and their favorite stuffed friends are invited to join the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire for our annual Teddy Bear Clinic, a fun event that helps educate kids about what happens at the doctor’s office.

    When: Friday, Aug. 2, 9-11 a.m.

    Where: Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, 6 Washington St., Dover

    Matty & The Penders at the Cochecho Arts Festival

    What: A '90s alternative rock cover band, covering Oasis, Matchbox 20, Everclear, The Black Crowes, Counting Crows, Candlebox, Barenaked Ladies, Blink 182, Live, Sublime, The Wallflowers, Green Day, Hootie & The Blowfish, and more.

    When: Friday, Aug. 2, 6-8 p.m.

    Migration: Free family movie night

    What: "Migration" with pre-movie entertainment with a special presenter. Bring a chair and a blanket and snacks or order takeout from Ridge restaurants.

    Bring Back the '90s Dance Party at WSCA

    What: Jen Scumaci (DJ Skooch) has been beat-mixing, remixing, and mashing-up groovy tunes as a digital DJ since 2014.

    Bring Your Lawn Chairs to Sullivan Square

    What: Bring Your Lawn Chairs to Sullivan Square is a yearly, community-centric summer concert and variety show event uniting our local Seacoast towns of the Maine Berwicks with both Somersworth and Rollinsford, New Hampshire. The festival showcases local bands, performers, artists, and eccentrics in a family-friendly, all-ages experience. Food vendors and local beer garden in town as well.

    Loading Dock Concert: Wildflower at 3S Artspace

    What: Wildflower is the songwriting project of Adrian O’Barr, based in Portland, Maine. Writing primarily about place and the power of nature, the music seeks to explore a distinctive vision of “Atlantic” music and tell stories of a changing coastline.
