Fire Chief David Judd said it is a two-day class for police, fire, and EMA employees throughout the region. State offering $2 million in grants for historic restoration/rehab projects
NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Historical Commission announced a new grant to help cover the cost of restoring National Register-listed historic properties in the state. Overall, $2 million is available from the Historic Property/Land Acquisition Fund (HPLAF) Grant Program this year. Applications are open now through Aug. 31. Fire at Fall Creek Falls
At 2:42 Saturday afternoon, Piney Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire with Spencer Fire-Rescue, Fall Creek Falls Fire Dept, and Cedar Grove Fire Department. The structure was a large shed with many golf carts inside at the Dead Zero Shooting Park. Due to the reported size of the fire and the location, the Dunlap Fire Department and Harrison Ferry Fire Department were also requested for manpower and water.
