DOYLESTOWN, PA—A house fire on Aster Lane led to a resident being rescued from the blaze and taken to the hospital over the weekend.

The fire, which began on the 400 block of Aster Lane in the Colonial Heritage manufactured home park on early Sunday afternoon, trapped one person in the house. When Doylestown Fire Company No. 1 arrived, police officers from Doylestown Township and the Central Bucks Regional Police Department were already working to remove the resident.

Firefighters searched the house for other residents and cared for the person who was removed until they were taken to the hospital by Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services. There was no word on their status.

Putting out the fire was a challenge because there are no fire hydrants in the neighborhood, which is near the intersection of Burpee Road and North Shady Retreat Road. A tanker truck from Chalfont Fire Company brought water to extinguish the fire and crews from Warrington Fire Co. #1 joined the effort to help get control of the scene.
