Beatles Tribute Band to Play Doylestown’s Summer Concert Series on Wednesday

DOYLESTOWN, PA—A Beatles tribute band will take you back to the early 1960s when it takes the stage on July 17 at Doylestown’s Central Park for the Thompson Performing Arts Summer Concert Series.

Studio Two-The Beatles Tribute focuses on music the band played live when it was playing in clubs and on tour. The Beatles stopped touring and became a studio-only band in 1966. The tribute band’s Facebook page said it considers the music from those years “the most exciting and fun time in the Beatles career.”

All shows are free and start at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater in Central Park at 425 Wells Road. A beer garden will open at 6 p.m. on show nights. Food trucks offering ice cream, water ice, pizza and other foods will also be at the concerts.

Township officials are warning that because of construction, parking near the amphitheater will be limited. Parking will be available in lots adjacent to the amphitheater and in the lot near the park exit.

Additional parking is available at the New Britain Road entrance to Central Park. The trail will lead you back to the amphitheater. (More information about parking is available on the township’s website.)

July 24: Discoteks: Motown, R&B, disco.

July 31: Little Red Rooster: blues.

Aug. 7: Lights Out: Frankie Valli tribute.

Aug. 14: River of Dreams: Billy Joel tribute.

Aug. 21: Bell Bottom Blues: Eric Clapton tribute.

Aug. 28: Class Act: dance band.

Sept. 11 (rescheduled from June 5): Bigg Romeo: dance band.

Sept. 22 (Sunday; rescheduled from June 26 ): Cherry Lane: high-energy rock/R&B. (This show will take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Food Truck Festival.)
