Two months after Shannen Doherty died of breast cancer, her hidden relationship with her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Brian Austin Green has sparked conversation. They met on set in the ‘90s, after which they enjoyed a brief hookup, which Shannen revealed was awkward in an episode of their co-star Tori Spelling’s podcast.

She confessed to not enjoying their first kiss and being certain there and then that they would never become an item. The 90210 cast members had a few other romantic escapades among themselves, such as Tori and Brian’s and John Priestley with Christy Elise.

During the ‘90s Con event at Dayton Beach, Florida over the weekend, Brian got invited as a surprise guest on the House of Halliwell podcast, where he was put on the spot about his fleeting hookup with Shannen. Holly Marie Combs, who was quite close with Shannen, led the conversation.

She noted that Shannen opened up to her about how close she was with Brian not long before she died. Brian, who is engaged to Sharna Burgess, tried to avoid the questions and simply said he would not give away details. Brian also avoided the allegation that he and Shannen hooked up, noting that they were warned to stay clear of each other.

As most people have said, Brian agreed that Shannen was a tough woman who was unapologetically herself. He added that her personality is often misunderstood, and he hated to see her being called a b–ch. To Brian, Shannen had the biggest heart he had ever experienced, and she was peace-loving and honest.

Shannen was one to take the cool guys, as she was married to Ashley Hamilton and Rick Salomon, who she left due to his drug addiction. She then tied the knot with Kurt Iswarienko about a decade later, and their lasted for over a decade until she caught him cheating.
