Mick Jagger’s Girlfriend Claps Back At Critics Over 44-Year Age Gap

Mick Jagger and his longtime girlfriend Melanie Hamrick have been together since 2014, and their relationship has been a topic for curious fans ever since. The couple have a 44-year age gap, which appears to be just a number between them; however, some internet users are concerned about their dynamic.

The controversial couple welcomed their first and only child, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger in 2016, bringing the number of Mick’s kids to eight in total. Agile as ever, Mick has yet to retire and has no plans to do so, noting that there are more records to be made.

Melanie recently addressed the significant age difference between herself and Mick, noting that it hardly bothers her. The 37-year-old was only 27 when their romance began, while Mick was 71 at the time and had seven children from different relationships.

Melanie noted that she is happy and at peace with Mick and urged concerned social media users to let them be. The rocker previously assured fans that his family, including his adult kids are supportive of his relationship with Melanie. There have been rumors about their engagement since Melanie was spotted with a diamond ring; however, they clarified that it is a promise ring.

After 16 years at the American Ballet Theater, Melanie quit in 2016 after feeling overwhelmed with work and motherhood. She attempted choreography right after but explored her writing skills instead, releasing her debut novel, First Position, last year.

Melanie is going even further with authoring as she is set to release another novel, The Unraveling, which is a romance tale set in the ballet. Although she does not dance professionally anymore, Melanie has chosen to preserve that part of her in writing.
