Donny Osmond Reunites With ‘Tiger Beat’ Editor Who Made Him Famous 52 Years Later

It has been five decades since Donny Osmond and former Tiger Beat editor Ann Moses last saw each other. Ann took it upon herself to reunite with the child star at his Vegas show earlier this year, and it was nothing short of heartwarming.

Beyond making teen Donny famous in the ‘70s, Ann was also close to his family, noting that his mother Olive Osmond was a “business wizard” who made most decisions and protected her celebrity kids, while his dad George Osmond controlled some aspects.

Ann showed up during one of Donny’s special sessions called the “VIP experience,” which involves a laid-back moment with attendees featuring Q & As, music, storytelling, and autograph signing. Interestingly, Ann’s hand was the first he shook before going down the row without recognizing her.

According to Ann’s account on her website, she already managed her expectations and was not offended by his oversight. While Donny was taking questions, she raised her hand and showed him a photo from when he was 14, and the memories came rushing. They hugged each other warmly and had a chit-chat after the event.

After Donny got married in the ‘80s, he decided to leave Tiger Beat in a bid to expand his reach. The child sensation was angry about being put in a box by the outlet and wanted better for himself. He then went from teenage idol to landing an 11-year residency in Las Vegas with his sister Marie Osmond.

Now, Donny is filling up Harrah’s in Vegas every night, lasting until November. After Ann and Donny’s meetup, a contest was added to the myriad of activities on the latter’s ongoing shows, where the winner gets to attend for free— and thanks to Ann, a two-night stay at Harrah’s plus free dinner and an autographed book.
