The post went viral, featuring Robert in a casual print T-shirt and his short hair in a wavy side part. Alba shared more of her Big Apple experience, showing off some food from Corner Eats, and commended Robert’s play in her caption.

The post got hundreds of thousands of likes, and fans could not hold back their delight about the Marvel act reunion. “Iron Man and Sue Storm,” someone wrote, while a few others pointed out Robert’s different look. “He looks like Hugh Jackman! Maybe makeup for the play,” a second person gushed, and more confirmed his statement.

Robert is doing stage plays as writer Jacob McNeal alongside Melora Hardin, Andrea Martin, Saisha Talwar, and Peter Bradbury until November, ahead of his Avengers comeback. He will be appearing in the upcoming Russo brothers-directed film Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled for release in 2027.

Joe Russo confirmed during the San Diego Comic-Con that Robert would be playing Doctor Victor Don Doom, years after his death as Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame, adding that it is evidence of the possibilities in the Marvel universe. Robert was also present at the event, and addressed Russo’s statement, adding that he loves doing the complicated characters.
