June Lockhart turned 99 in June, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge with her as she makes her way to 100. The actress, who is known for playing Maureen Robinson in Lost In Space, has been kind enough to share what life has taught her so far.

June is still friends with her co-stars from the ‘60s Sci-Fi series, particularly Bill Mumy, Angela Cartwright, and Marta Kristen, who played her children in the Sci-Fi series. She noted that she is most proud of the friendships she built in the entertainment industry.

June revealed that she is currently at a happy point in life because she stopped dwelling on things she could not change. She added that her best lesson so far has been trusting herself and learning to be patient. She assured her fans to hang in there because everything works out in the end.

The retired film star began her career as a child when she would perform on New York’s Metropolitan Opera stage. She then made her film debut in 1938, starring alongside her parents in A Christmas Carol. Her nine-decade career makes her one of the only surviving celebrities from Hollywood’s Golden Age.

    June’s interesting hobbies

As a self-proclaimed news junkie, June’s life is far from boring as she always has content to enjoy from The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times on a regular basis. She also recalled playing Scrabble with her hairdresser and the crew while filming Lost In Space, which is no surprise in relation to her love for reading.

The mother of two is not keen on social media, and due to her absence on Facebook, some crooks have impersonated her to exploit unsuspecting fans. She urged her supporters to report the fake pages and avoid any Facebook accounts in her name.
