Barry Williams starred as Greg Brady in the classic American television series The Brady Bunch, which originally aired from 1969 to 1974. During his time on the show, Williams quickly became a teen idol, with his character often taking center stage in episodes that explored typical adolescent challenges such as dating, peer pressure, and sibling rivalry.

It’s been five decades since the beloved sitcom ended, and Williams recently took a sentimental trip down memory lane. Accompanied by his 12-year-old daughter, he revisited the remnants of the original Brady Bunch set, offering her a glimpse into the world that defined much of his early career.

The father-daughter took a trip in July to Paramount Television’s Stage 5 where the set was located. Although the iconic set itself had long been dismantled, Williams offered his daughter Samantha a unique behind-the-scenes experience, walking her through what he referred to as the back alley, a backstage corridor that was once the heart of their off-screen world.

In a video which he shared on Instagram, the 69-year-old fondly recalled the show’s glory days and painted a vivid picture of the past, sharing with his daughter how the walls used to be adorned with thousands of fan letters and photographs, essentially serving as a fan-made wallpaper. He described how the young cast members, including himself, would navigate through this corridor to reach their classrooms.

Barry Williams is committed to maintaining ‘The Brady Bunch’ legacy

Williams has a long-standing connection with the iconic world of The Brady Bunch, and his recent venture is just one of many efforts to reconnect with the beloved TV classic. This isn’t the first time the actor has revisited the show’s legacy. In 2019, he joined forces with his former co-stars for HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation.

The special series reunited the original cast for an ambitious and sentimental project: restoring the real-life Brady house in Studio City, California. The house, famously used only for exterior shots in the original series, was transformed into a near-perfect replica of the iconic TV set. The renovation required painstaking attention to detail, ensuring that every room mirrored the familiar spaces that fans have loved for generations.
