Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman said he's not afraid of Germany's star duo of Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz ahead of their Nations League match on Tusday.

"I know Musiala and Wirtz are two powerful players, but we also have good midfielder players. They will also cause Germany some trouble," Koeman said in a news conference on Monday.

Both teams are coming off big wins from their Nations League openers at the weekend. The Netherlands defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-2, while Musiala scored one goal and provided three assists to lead Germany to a 5-0 thrashing of Hungary.

Koeman will be without Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong, who left the team camp due to private reasons.

Forward Wout Weghorst will start on the bench after he caused unrest during training after suffering a foul and was the first to return to the hotel after the session.

Koeman, however, doesn't want to give the incident too much importance.

"We talked a bit about it. We don't have to make it bigger than it is," he said.
