German logistics giant DHL Group is aiming to increase revenue by 50% by 2030, the company said on Tuesday.

The Bonn-based group's new growth strategy seeks to boost revenues from €82 billion ($91.2 billion) in 2023 to more than €120 billion by the end of the decade.

"We want to grow faster and more profitably," said Tobias Meyer, the chief executive of DHL Group.

The group's package delivery subsidiary DHL is expected to drive growth as volumes continue to rise.

More specialized services, including cold storage capabilities for the pharmaceutical industry and the transport of wind turbines, are also set to play a role.

The DHL Group employs around 600,000 people worldwide, around a third of whom are in Germany.

The group also owns the Deutsche Post brand, which serves as the German postal service.
