Reports: Israel launches further attack on Beirut's southern suburbs

The Israeli army has again attacked a densely populated suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, the latest in a series of massive Israeli strikes on the country.

Local media reported at least three attacks on the suburb of Chiyah, south of Beirut.

The Israeli military confirmed renewed attacks without providing further details.

According to Lebanese sources, the army had already carried out dozens of attacks in the southern suburbs of Beirut during the night.

The densely populated residential areas are considered a Hezbollah stronghold. Initial reports said at least three people were wounded.
