Israel again strikes Beirut suburb

The Israeli military said on Saturday that it has again attacked a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut. The army initially did not provide any further details.

According to initial reports from Lebanon, the suburb of Chiyah was hit.

At first, there was no information about damage or possible victims from the attack.

The Israeli military has repeatedly attacked the area south of Beirut since Friday. The densely populated residential area is considered a Hezbollah stronghold.

Scores of people have fled the area since the massive attacks began.
