Bombs weighing more than a total of 80 tons were used in the Israeli airstrike that claimed the life of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, Israeli media reported on Sunday.

The bombs, including "bunker buster" bombs capable of penetrating reinforced structures, were dropped by a formation of at least 10 combat jets on Hezbollah's underground headquarters in southern Beirut on Friday, it said.

There was no official confirmation of the reports.

Concerns of retaliation or all-out war in the Middle East are rising following the attack.
