Omar Marmoush scored a brace and set up the other two as Eintracht Frankfurt won 4-2 at Holstein Kiel on Sunday to move within one point of Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich who they host in a week's time.

Marmoush raised his tally to a league leading six goals when he opened the scoring in the 25th minute off a long solo run down the left and made it 3-2 in the 65th with a deflected shot after Kiel failed to clear decisively.

Marmoush set up Igor Matanovic's for a 2-1 lead shortly after the restart and also Tuta for the final score in the 74th to round off another strong showing.

Promoted Kiel levelled twice from Shuto Machino, a 31st-minute penalty and a low shot after a goalmouth scramble in the 50th.

Machino had another goal disallowed for a foul in the build-up as Kiel continue to wait for a maiden top flight win and are last with one point.

Frankfurt rose to second with a fourth straight league win and on 12 points are one behind Bayern who dropped their first points in a 1-1 draw with champions Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.

Frankfurt host Bayern next Sunday in what is now a table topper.

They trounced Bayern 5-1 last season at home but first face a Europa League trip to Turkey's Besiktas on Thursday, after an opening 3-3 against Viktoria Plzen where they blew a 3-1 lead in the final minutes. Bayern visit Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Hoffenheim take on Werder Bremen in the other Sunday game.
