Blinken won't travel to Germany either after Biden delays trip

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has cancelled a planned trip to Germany later this week, after US President Joe Biden said he was delaying the planned visit due to Hurricane Milton.

Biden also postponed a visit to Angola.

Blinken "was planning to join the president in Germany and Angola," State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said in Washington, "but given this postponement" Blinken would now return to the US from Laos where he has been attending a foreign ministers meeting of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
