DRESDEN, N.Y. ( WETM ) — A Colorado woman was injured after a train hit her car on Thursday morning.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, a 77-year-old woman from Englewood, Colorado, was driving east on Seneca Street in the Village of Dresden at about 10:35 a.m. on July 18. A Norfolk Southern train was traveling north on tracks that cross Seneca Street.

Authorities say that the car didn’t yield to the train, and the train hit the car. The car came to a stop on the west side of the train tracks.

Penn Yan Ambulance took the 77-year-old driver to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital to be treated for her injuries. The train’s conductor and engineer were both uninjured.
