Grand jury indicts trio charged in fatal AC boardwalk shooting
ATLANTIC CITY â Three Philadelphia men were indicted by a grand jury on murder and weapons charges in the death of a woman shot in the head along the boardwalk in August. Police were called to the boardwalk in front of the Flagship Resort on the northern end of the boardwalk in the pre-dawn house of Aug. 1 where two women were found on a jetty shot in the head, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds.
Priest brutally attacked inside Philadelphia home: 'This incident was targeted'
A Philadelphia priest is recovering after he was brutally attacked on Wednesday morning inside his home across from St. Maron's Maronite Catholic Church on Ellsworth Street.According to police, a man kicked and banged on the priest's door and eventually made his way inside around 9:30 am. Once inside, he attacked the priest before running away.On Friday, Action News spoke with Father Andrew El Tadchi, who now walks with a cane after being attacked."I would like to make it clear to everyone, South Philadelphia is very safe. It's a safe area. This incident was targeted, and it's in the very capable hands of the police department. I am assured justice will be served," said Father El Tadchi.Police say the attacker has gray hair and a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, black pants and brown shoes.Despite the brutal attack, Father El Tadchi wanted to share this message: "Stay positive, love each other, and be kind," he said.

A small business in Delaware County is answering the call for help in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.Iacobucci Formal Wear in Havertown is collecting donations like food, water, batteries, diapers and even chainsaws to donate to the survivors of Hurricane Helene."You can only watch so much on the news without getting involved," said Steve Cassel, owner of Iacobucci Formal Wear.Cassel's friend Bruce McClay is planning to drive the goods down to western North Carolina Friday night or Saturday morning."I'm retired and I have the time," McClay said. "I don't have a big huge trailer or anything, but it's what I can do."McClay and his wife Sherry packed up boxes of relief supplies in the parking lot on Friday morning as people in the community continued to drop off donations."Giving back is what I wanted to do," Kathy Ransone from Havertown, who donated a hedge trimmer, said. "I mean how could you not?
