Cancer testing company to pay $900K to settle Stark Law violation allegations
Palo Alto, Calif.-based oncology company Guardant Health will pay $913,933 to settle allegations it violated Stark Law. The Justice Department alleged that Guardant submitted claims and received payments from Medicare for laboratory services that had been referred in violation of Stark Law. Guardant also allegedly knowingly submitted or caused the submission of false claims for payments.

Cedar Park man gets year in prison for unlicensed firearms dealing
AUSTIN, Texas — A Cedar Park man convicted on firearms charges will spend one year and one day in prison. The sentence was handed down at a federal court in Austin. Andrew Darley Pennington, 40, was found with 32 firearms and approximately 18,430 rounds of ammunition in December of 2021 when agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed a search warrant at his home.
