Millville student receives 2024 GPDA scholarship
Millville, Pa. — A Millville student was selected for a scholarship to support his education. Eli Book, was selected through the 2024 Goulds Professional Dealers Association (GPDA) Scholarship. Book will receive $1,500 to fund his educational pursuits at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa. The GPDA scholarship is awarded to 16 students across the United States and Canada. New light system at Bruggeworth Field will allow for nighttime games
There will be nighttime baseball at Bruggeworth Field this upcoming season. Earlier this summer, construction crews were actively working at Bruggeworth Field to install a new light system, specifically around the baseball portion of the field. The installation of the light fixtures will allow the Wilkes University baseball team to play games after sunset beginning in 2025.
‘Large amount’ of cocaine found in woman’s purse
Williamsport, Pa. — A search warrant led to the discovery of a ‘large amount’ of cocaine in purse, Lycoming Narcotics Detectives said. Britney Christ Williams, 29, and Alicia Anne Gundrum, 51, both took ownership of the bag after a search of their apartment in the 1100 block of Washington Boulevard, according to a complaint. Gundrum admitted to setting a drug deal up prior to the raid, police said. Williams confessed to selling the substance for $100. ...
