Recent high school graduates visit SWLA as a part of American Exchange Project
LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The American Exchange Project is a way for recent high school graduates to travel to different cities in the country for free. Students visit 57 different places across the U.S. in the project. All week long, six students are here to experience Southwest Louisiana culture.

Sydney Berzon named LSWA Pitcher of the Year
After a fantastic sophomore season at LSU, softball’s Sydney Berzon has been named the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Year in the state. Berzon was also an All-American this season and last, finishing 2024 with a 20-9 record and 1.78 ERA while striking out 185 batters.
