The Boiler Room in Dublin reopens as a fine dining restaurant. What to know before you go

The Boiler Room has turned up the heat with its grand reopening, bringing a new fine dining experience to Dublin.

What was previously a wine and cocktail bar is now a full restaurant with a globally influenced seasonal menu featuring sophisticated dishes — such as lamp chop lollipops, sous vide duck breast, braised bone-in short rib.

Its rebirth was a joint vision by general managers, Samantha and Ben Krauss, who brought their dream to life thanks to the opportunity to build out a full-service kitchen for The Boiler Room on North Main Street.

“We decided to go in the direction of a higher end bistro-feel because this area was seriously lacking that. We wanted to be that date night place, that elevated dining experience closer to home, city fine dining right in your own backyard,” Samantha said.

“To go from where we were to where we are now is really a lot of change in a short amount of time. The owners really put a lot of faith in us and a huge investment to make it what it is now.”

The Boiler Room originally opened in 2021 inside The Square as an extension of Crossing Vineyards, featuring their wines alongside specialty cocktails and a light menu of small plates provided by The Novel Baker.

But with its reopening — after closing for three months while its kitchen was constructed — The Boiler Room transitioned into an independently operated business with its own liquor license.

Its brand new menu, which will change twice a year, is crafted by Executive Chef Vincent Minissale, who brings with him 20 years of professional culinary experience.

“Everything is from scratch. We utilize local and sustainable products to make the tastiest foods possible,” Minissale said. “I’m all about cooking with passion and purpose and making everything as good as can be. The extra love goes a long way.”

The Boiler Room has retained much of it’s modern-industrial charm — a nod to the building’s history as a pants factory in the early 20 th century — while leaning into its new identity with its crisp white linens, artful plating and attention to detail.

It offers indoor table and bar seating, as well as additional seating in the courtyard for outdoor dining during the warmer months.

“I’m very proud and pleased to be able to present a special place in town to, not only celebrate special occasions, but to also offer a great everyday experience. You don’t have to travel far to get the experience you expect in Philadelphia as far as quality of food, drinks, service and atmosphere,” Samantha said.
