DUBOIS, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Brockway man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman he used to have a relationship with.

Andrew Joseph Peters, 50, of Brockway was charged with two counts of felony aggravated indecent assault and misdemeanor indecent assault charges over an alleged incident that happened in June.

The victim told DuBois police that Peters was in her house when she went to take a shower. She told police that Peters offered to make a meal in the meantime, according to charges filed. When she left the bathroom and went to her bedroom, Peters awaited her.

Near-naked Clearfield man tried jumping off bridge to escape arrest, police said

According to her account, she told police that Peters pushed her onto her bed and began to assault her sexually, claiming she told him “no” multiple times. She alleged that Peters said: “You know you want it. I do too.”

The woman said she used her knee to push him away and then yelled for someone else who was in the home. Peters then stopped and left the bedroom, she told police.

Peters agreed to talk to DuBois police during the investigation. Police said they told him he was getting mixed signals from the victim and wasn’t sure if he got mixed signals or not on the day of the alleged assault. According to the charges, he claimed that her pleas of “no” didn’t seem sincere and that if he could “push past” her refusal, she would be in a place where she wanted to do it willingly.
